Fraste Multidrill XL 170 DR
The Fraste Multidrill XL 170 DR (double rotary) utilises a CAT C4.4 diesel engine (173.5Hp) or a CAT C7.1 engine (173Hp), with a weight of 12.78 tonnes and a height of 2100mm. This combination of power and weight with all-terrain rubber tacks makes for a large powerful rig. This combination is also paired with ability to be fitted with the Fraste – Manipulator automatic drill pipe loading system. The rig also has a double rotary head allowing for simultaneous drilling with drill pipe and drill casing, the drill pipe rotary head providing 1550daNm at 160rpm and the casing rotary head providing 2700daNm at 70rpm.
The Fraste Multidrill XL 170 DR’s CAT C4.4 engine (173.5Hp) was manufactured to strictly follow Environmental Protective Agency guidelines, having a Tier 4 Final engine, with EU machinery and safety regulations with a Stage V engine, producing low particulate matter (Pm) and nitrous oxide (NOx) emissions. The CAT 7.1 engine (173Hp) has a Stage IIIA and Tier 3 rating, making it less suitable for urban areas due to higher levels of emissions.
The modularity of the Fraste Multidrill XL 170 DR includes optional pump changes, the Fraste – Manipulator automatic drill pipe loading system and winch options to cater to your drilling requirements.
The uses for the Fraste Multidrill XL 170 DR include continuous casing drilling, geotechnical investigations such as soil monitoring and geothermal drilling.
