The Interface Meter – lets you swiftly and easily identify both light (floating) non-aqueous phase liquids (LNAPL) and dense (sinking) non-aqueous phase liquids (DNAPL). Designed for field reliability, it combines accuracy, robustness and user-friendly operation.
When the probe contacts a non-conductive oil or product, the light and tone signals remain continuous. In contrast, when touching water (conductive liquid > 50 μS/cm), these signals become intermittent. Both sensors share a common zero point, affording accuracy down to 1.0 millimetre (or 1/200 foot). This precision enables detection of even the slightest sheen of oil on water.
