The features of the SPT Equipment include:
- Provides a continuous measurement of ground strength during penetration
- Meets BS EN 1997-2:2007 Eurocode 7
- Meets BS 5930:2015 Code of practice for ground investigations
Standard Penetration Test (SPT) Equipment is used to assess soil resistance by driving a split-barrel sampler into the ground at the base of a borehole. It provides disturbed samples for soil identification and geotechnical evaluation.
In gravelly soils or soft rock where sampling isn’t practical, a solid cone (SPT(C)) is used to measure penetration resistance instead.
