Fraste Multidrill XL 170 T
The Fraste Multidrill XL 170 T utilises a CAT C4.4 diesel engine (173.5Hp) or a CAT C7.1 engine (173Hp), as well as PTO from the truck engine, mounted to the back of a truck, with a width of 2490mm and a maximum height of 9600mm. This rig has all the features of the XL 170, with the ability to be fitted with the Fraste – Manipulator automatic drill pipe loading system, mounted on either a 2 or 3 axel truck.
The Fraste Multidrill XL 170 T’s CAT C4.4 engine (173.5Hp) was manufactured to strictly follow Environmental Protective Agency guidelines, having a Tier 4 Final engine, with EU machinery and safety regulations with a Stage V engine, producing low particulate matter (Pm) and nitrous oxide (NOx) emissions. The CAT 7.1 engine (173Hp) has a Stage IIIA and Tier 3 rating, making it less suitable for urban areas due to higher levels of emissions.
The modularity of the Fraste Multidrill XL 170 T ranges from winch changes, pump changes and hydraulics, including hydraulic air valve and a hydraulic SPT (standard penetration test) device.
The uses of the Fraste Multidrill XL 170 T include geotechnical investigations, with soil samples through conventional coring and geothermal drilling.
