The Spiral auger functions similarly to a corkscrew and is used to penetrate hard layers such as bore ore, brick layers, chalk and lime profiles. This auger has a negative end, which means that the centre of the auger end is whetted away.
The Spiral auger is not used for profile research and soil mapping; it is designed to auger through very hard layers. It is designed to work in combination with other auger types.
This auger is available as a One-Piece or as a Bottom Part with various diameters and connections.
Handles and Extension Rods are also available for purchase to be used in combination with our Bottom Part Augers.
